Feast of the Holy Tri Vesak is the greatest feast of Buddhism, which commemorates three important events, namely the birth of Siddhartha, attainment of enlightenment by ascetics and passed away his Gautama the Buddha. Since that time we re reminded of the spirit embodied in the three events of Holy Vesak is the spirit of the presence of human values that are universal identity of every human being is to help relieve suffering and give happiness to our fellow beings (maitri karuna) and always create awareness through the effort to save the human race.
Since approved as Vesak Day National Day in 1983, since that time until now the Buddhists in Indonesia can freely and openly held the Vesak Day in meperingati Borobudur temple to be a place and activity center. NSI people who are part of the Buddhists in Indonesia participated in the flag-waving Buddhsime by attending various events at Borobudur eyes together with thousands of Buddhists from assemblies other Buddhist religionists, by following the procession of Mendut to Borobudur Temple to then implement Dokyo Syodai at the altar that had been built in the courtyard of the temple of Borobudur is led by the Chairman of the DPP NSI, Mr. Suhadi Sendjaja.
Although not all people follow the NSI activities centered in Borobudur temple, the people of NSI in 2546 to commemorate the 2002 Wasiak is still doing activities related to Vesak Day at the Shrine or cetya respectively, there is a Vesak Day with implementing Dokyo Syodai at night ahead of Vesak Day, there is also implementing Dokyo Syodai in the morning, but although NSI people who can not take part in the Borobudur and can only follow or a day of Vesak in the area or territory but remain sincere and solemn
